The Dub Sports Park will provide a year-round place for people of ALL ages to exercise in a multitude of ways. This will be a place for the community to come together with the inclusion of a common area and meeting room. Additionally, it will be a tool for our community to attract and retain workforce and community members for years to come.
Land has been pledged along Highway 17, South of Highway 20 by a generous donor.
Our community recognizes the importance of fostering a thriving sports culture that benefits youth, adults, and visitors. We also recognize thriving communities take steps to provide services and amenities desired by existing and future generations. The Dub will build from the foundation laid at Fuller Hall to increase access and enrich the local sporting landscape for competitive and non-competitive play. Fuller Hall will always play a vital role in our community through after-school activities and youth sports. The Dub will provide additional dedicated space for indoor sports, accommodating a wide range of activities including club sports and tournaments. Together, both facilities promote health, fitness, and camaraderie through sports ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy and participate in.
The estimated cost of the project is $12 million to be funded through private donations & local and state grants.
Completion of the project will be determined by fundraising efforts. In consulting with our feasibility company, the prime time to open an indoor sports facility is in the fall.
Yes. We had a professional Market & Financial Feasibility Study completed by Pinnacle Indoor Sports in January. The results confirmed that The Dub Sports Park would be a sustainable & successful venture in Webster City.
Our Board has been engaged in numerous conversations with City, County, and School leadership. We have been actively collaborating on how to build this facility. These conversations have been nothing but positive and all parties are actively at the table. The City and County are engaged for the economic impact that it could provide our community, as well as quality of life and recruiting tools. The school is interested in utilizing the proposed indoor facility for current and future facility needs. We believe that all parties collaborating is necessary for the successful completion of this project. Please note, that it is not our intention to fund this facility with property tax dollars or additional bonding.
